    Description

This week I am listing a small collection of 10 vintage Madame Alexander dolls, and one cloth Cinderella doll, they were purchased in the early 1980’s to the early 1990’s. All of these auctions will start at so they can all find new homes and be enjoyed by a new generation. Some have never been out of the box, some have but are complete unless noted. Several of the boxes have damage, please look at all the photos of the boxes, if there is damage beyond the normal wear I have photographs. I am also listing 3 antique Edwardian or Victorian Blouses for adults, and some antique linen/muslin/cotton clothing for Antique dolls. I washed most of the doll clothing in Woolite, but did nothing else to them. They have been with me for many years, in some cases more than 50. Some will need care others are ready to wear or put on your favorite antique doll. I will be glad to combine shipping, and I accept returns if I have misrepresented anything. My goal is to clean out some of the items in our home, and to have happy customers. Please ask any questions you have, and BEST OF LUCK TO ALL!
This auction is for an antique Victorian or Edwardian Blouse. It is a ivory cotton semi sheer fabric with a woven box pattern to the fabric. It buttons up the front of the blouse with large (for the era) shell buttons. It has very pretty cuffs that roll back with a small ruffled edge. It looks to me like at one time there was a collar attached as there are just a couple of small spots where there is evidence of a collar that was carefully taken off this blouse. There is an elastic band of some kind along the bottom edge with the front of the blouse having the only gathering that I see. The elastic could be replaced if the waist is too big, it does seem dried out and not really functional. The color is an off white or ivory cream. There is a small amount of discoloration under the arms, and a small early patch on the back under one arm which I think is visible in one of the outdoor photos. This blouse measures 15” from shoulder to shoulder, the waist is 34”, the bust 38”, the sleeve 23” from shoulder to cuff turned up and the length of the blouse from collar to the base of the back is 16 ½”. I collected a number of antique blouses and used them to make dresses and underclothing for the china head dolls of 1860’s that I collected for many years. This blouse could be used for doll clothing, or worn if you are a person who wears antique clothing. I have not laundered this blouse. So have no idea if the discoloration at the underarms will come out.
