    Description

    Lovely Irish Crochet Lace jacket.
    Intricate handmade jacket embellished with blooming vines and large raised flowers. Color is off-white or pale cream.
    Mother of pearl hand carved buttons.
    Swags with tassels in front.
    Fluted peplum.
    Size: my model form is size 10.
    The jacket is unlined. (Originally there was a silk turquoise lining, so I took most of the photos over a turquoise shirt. Not included).
    Condition
    : great.No holes or lace disconnection. All buttons and button loops are intact. The upper petals of some flowers are a bit darker. I like it this way but you can easily even the color with hand washing or dry cleaning.
    Note: at antique textile shows you may come across some sparkling white Irish crochet pieces. But this whiteness is the result of bleaching which treatment is NOT good for the cotton fiber. In addition bleaching flattens the dimensional look, that has made Irish lace so desirable for 120 years.
