Description
Another piece of history found in the attic at Kopp's.This frame has been moved from one location to another but never unwrapped or open except to see the serial number.
The small portion shows beautiful green paint that has a luster that seems to be that beautiful British enamel.
It's very unusual double top tube and double down the tubes that extend all the way from front to back. The seat tube extends above the top tubes and also a few inches below the downtubes to what looks to be a Standard English style bottom bracket.
The frame is entirely wrapped in the heavy brown paper and also with markings that say BSA original parts.
Also shown is the original tag from the wholesaler we purchased it from in New York. The shipping address is our Chambers Street location in the 40s. (that was before my family's purchase of the store in the late 40s).
I've seen a tens of thousands frames since being at the store and have never seen anything like this.
The photo of the complete bike is a guess of what this is.
It is the only photo of anything close to this
I found on the web
