Iwo Jima / Wise Woman Lot (2) Ashtray / Pin Trays Vintage Metal.
This lot is for two vintage metal pin trays / ash trays or little dishes perfect for trinkets, jewelry, paperclips or what-have-you!
The small dish has a nice leaf or floral shape with an embossed ‘Wise Woman’ as the centerpiece. It measures about 2-1/2 inches x 2-1/2 inches measured at the top. There are three tiny feet on the bottom. The Wise Woman’s coat / shawl is in a gold color. There are no dings or dents with a small amount of age-related surface wear.
The larger piece was originally intended as an ashtray but it does not look like it was ever used as such. It is a souvenir from Washington DC and the raised design in the well is of Iwo Jima and the raising of the U.S. Marines flag. The edging and inside are colorized. There are floral colorful cut-outs along the edging. Colors are strong and vibrant. There is very minor surface wear. It measures about 5 inches x 4 inches, measured at the top.
