Description
Up for auction is a
vintage Scarpa Road Bike
frame, probably from +/- 1985. I don't know the exact year of production, this is just an estimate of the period. The frame has a rare cromovelato paint. The paint is in my opinion very good, with only minor signs of use. Scarpa was an Austrian bicycle dealer who also offered frames under his brandname. The frame has probably been produced in Italy by one of the large frame companies (e.g. Moser, etc).
The frame was made from Columbus Aelle tubing.
The frame is used but in fully original condition. No touch-ups. Low milage. The frame is fully chromed. There are no cracks or dents. Oxidation is not an issue on this frame, there are only tiny signs of patina on the chrome. The paint is in pretty good condition with only very small paint chips and scratches.
Measurements:
The frame is approximately 47cm tall (center - center seattube), 48cm tall (center - top seattube), it is marked "47" on the rear dropout. The length of the top tube is approximately 50.2cm (c-c). Rear spacing is 125mm. 70mm bottom bracket lug.

I am located in Vienna, Austria, EU and ship from here. Although all parcels go by airmail, sometimes it can take a bit longer than expected. An average parcel, e.g. to the USA, takes about 20 business days to arrive. Sometimes it can also take 6-8 weeks. There are customs and security checks involved that sometimes delay the shipment.
Especially smaller parcels (up to 1kg), get in many cases upgraded at my costs to priority parcel mail (depends on the weight and destination). Still there is no guaranteed shipping time.
Carriers I use are the Austrian Post, DHL (large parcels) and sometimes smaller carriers like Hermes and GLS. In your country the parcels will be delivered with a local carrier (e.g. USPS in the USA).
