Victorian Edwardian Vintage Ladies Shirt Waist Blouse Top Small Pearl Buttons

This is a stunning original vintage shirt waist top from the Victorian era, possibly worn into the Edwardian age. It is in very good condition for its age, but has the usual age problems. These include small tears in the silky material at the shoulder, under one arm, where some of the ribbon embellishments are sewn on, small rusty spot staining and under the arm stains. On the plus side, the blouse is stunning, has no unpleasant smell, has beautiful embroidery and ribbon accents, has two hook and claw clasps at the back neck and 16 beautiful pearl buttons down the back. It was meticulously handmade for someone to fit and is a small size, the measurements being 13" shoulder to shoulder, 14" across the chest (or 28"), a 24" waist, 28" sleeves from shoulder to wrist , 20" from shoulder to hem. The wrists are accented with cloth florettes. This is a great blouse from a different time period ready to wear on a very small person or to display.
